But it seems there just might be hope.
I found out that DS4Windows (a program similar to InputMapper, that I had used to play LEGO Worlds with a controller) has been outdated for over a year now. The original author stopped working on it, and someone forked it via Github and has been updating it ever since.
I grabbed the latest version (since DS4Updater.exe is looking for a website that doesn’t exist anymore, ergo cannot get the update).

But right now, I cannot really test this. Because I noticed even while wireless, I still have to connect the controller to my PS4 to re-link the damn thing. And having to go back and forth, I feel is going to be extremely frustrating.
I can’t test it while my PS4 is on, because it’s linked to it. I have to turn it off completely, just to fucking test it.

—
Which brings me to the “why” I can’t turn it off completely. Friday, my father remembered he could get SiriusXM on his PS4. That’s fantastic. Glad he’ll be happy.. until he says “I need you to do it for me, so I won’t screw up”.
*sigh* Alright. Says to go to this ‘siriusxm.com/sony’ to sign up. Ran over to my computer and typed in the URL, and see this. And this thing had lasted until Sunday morning, with my parents waking me up at 8-9am just to yell at me “why is it still down?”, acting like I know everything there is to know about tech stuff. So yeah.. I haven’t gotten a decent night’s sleep for two fucking days. Not happy.
But at last this morning, it finally went up. Then they’re bugging me again, asking me to properly set it up by talking to this woman over the phone. Father couldn’t log into the new SiriusXM account, and it was ‘tech expert Benie to save us all’.. kill me now.
Finally got it working on his PS4, but when I decided to ask if it was possible I could also do it, the woman said “only one listener on the account at any time”.
Fucking PRICKS!! Netflix allows you to do shared accounts, why can’t they?! Do they not know what a cloud network is!? .. Whatever. At least he’s happy, now I can get back to bed! Don’t god damn wake me up.. EVER, unless it’s important, like the house is burning down!!
–
Mother tried to apologize by getting me a free breakfast from Burger King, which I thanked her for. I didn’t get anything out of that effort, and I was pretty pissed. This makes up for it. Then she suggests that I try on my PS4, saying that she can listen to it on her computer and was confused on why.
So I tried, plugging in the HDMI cable to my TV and flipping to HDMI2. This is where I had the pairing issue, and why I feel I need a second controller (one for my computer, and one for my PS4. No more re-linking back and forth between devices). Got the app from the Playstation Store and used my father’s login credentials, and was able to get in.
Ok, this is promising. Maybe I can find the music channel I listen to, that helps me sleep. Because I just can’t stand Spectrum’s music channels anymore. Having a screensaver change images while trying to sleep, is extremely annoying.
Sadly the channel I listened to (when we had DISH), is part of ‘Dish Music’. But I did find an alternative. And what’s better, this thing doesn’t look obnoxious. But the real test will be when I go to bed.
—
So what’s the catch to this? There’s actually two;
1. As stated by that woman, only one person can listen. Both of us get these occasional ‘Simultaneous Listeners’ thing. I originally thought it happens when more than one person listens to the same channel (or flips channels), but it can happen out of the blue. Especially when all three of us are listening.
2. There’s a 10 day free trial. After that, it’s $18.66 a month (as it currently stands). Yay.. MORE money flying out of my bank account! Might as well drop my Pandora Plus sub, then (which is due in a few months).

With the first thing becoming more and more of an issue as time went on (and my father bitching about it), I uninstalled SiriusXM and turned off my PS4 (in rage). I was furious on why in the living fuck we can’t have a shared account. God damn fucking greedy bastards!!
This whole month, has been nothing but greed, greed, greed! I still feel stung by spending $17.35 on something I didn’t need. And we were all yelling at eachother, father also feeling someone’s outside tapping into my WiFi, why he can’t clear out the search history.
But… if I like what I see, and I’m able to actually sleep soundly tomorrow, then I’ll create my own account (and save father from having to deal with that issue). I just hope I can take advantage of the same thing he has.

*sigh* So I haven’t been trying to play VRChat with a controller, because I’ve been too frustrated with losing tracking on my controller.
