So hey, back at this again. This post has had a long time coming, but I finally got down to it. It’s a response to the responses I’ve gotten from you folks from this post<\/a>(if you haven’t read it yet please click the link), about how my reviews are different than that Cuphead<\/em> ‘review’.<\/p>\n

And the responses have been many, but they seem to have been split 60\/40. 60% of you say to not stop doing reviews, that they’re helpful(and thanks for letting me know this), and some of them also appreciate that I have stopped using my bad skills as a gamer as a negative of the game.
\nAgain, thank you so much for your support! That means a lot. To hear my reviews actually help, I’m very glad to hear that.

\nHowever, there’s the other 40% who say that I complain too much, the reviews aren’t helpful– and most importantly… are out of date. That by the time I finally get my hands on the game, it has already been months (if not years) since the game’s release of when I finally do my review. And by then, most people had already made a decision, making the review a waste of time to make.
\nAnd this has really got me thinking, especially after these two recent really bad excuses for reviews. Both have a lot of games and DLCs attached to the IP. And instead of actually doing my homework and reading up on the lore, I took the easy way out and said “this is all I can give you”. Infact I didn’t release the second one (which was HITMAN: The Complete First Season<\/em>).<\/p>\n

But I think what really made it feel like the final blow, is a review I saw of the new Wolfenstein (of today being its release date). I found the review extremely helpful as a gamer, and was way, way more detailed.
\nThe way I’ve been doing it is inexcusable, and you folks deserve better. So…I have made the decision to stop all future reviews from this website. But let me just say this: the only reason I started is I wanted to stick it up the gaming industry where the sun doesn’t shine. But these very, very late reviews are not helpful. And I can’t believe it’s taken this long until I have opened my eyes to the truth.
\nI am not a game reviewer, and this isn’t even a ‘job’. It’s just been a hobby, that doesn’t help anyone. And with that, I will be closing down the reviews blog effective immediately.<\/p>\n

In ways, this actually feels good to stop doing it. Having to make sure I know everything to a game is just so..draining. I still in ways also enjoyed it, listing what I liked and didn’t. Yet again, what point does it have when the review wasn’t made on the day the game was launched?
\nEven trying to pretend to be a game reviewer is hard. But it’s not just gaming, anything can be reviewed (even a set of stamps). If you don’t know the history of the product(or products) you’re reviewing, you will<\/em> be ridiculed (and you + your review are redeemed worthless), by the many fans of the series of that product.
\nAnd even if you do, you got to have that review out as quick as possible (preferably by the day it launches).<\/p>\n

I just can’t do this anymore. There’s a time of doing what’s fun for myself, and doing what’s right for the invisible community (that I pretend exists as I’m too ashamed to get actual people to look at this ‘website’, something that I still haven’t done anything to its homepage).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
