So, that was pretty awkward. Four days ago, I said how it was this website’s birthday. With it being that, that also means I’ve paid the hosting (as the domain comes with it). Since it’s on an automatic pay system, they get to choose when the $60 is taken out.<\/p>\n
Well today I was checking my email, and Thunderbird was telling me how my website mail was timing out. Thought “meh, probably an issue on Arvixe’s end. Better check the website just to make sure.” I do, and my heart goes into my throat when I see the website has expired. Again, the yearly fee covers the domain, and I was pretty sure the thing has already been paid months ago. As you see, this didn’t make sense to me in the slightest.<\/p>\n
So I have to ask Arvixe. Waited three minutes to speak to someone using their Live Chat. The person takes 10 minutes until they respond to me. Looks like they still haven’t hired more people and are working them like slaves.
\nAnyway, they got the domain back up as you can see. The reason is due to a technical glitch on their end that kept my domain from being automatically renewed (as it’s free with the hosting). Hopefully this doesn’t happen again next year.
