He tested my Coxial Cable, like the last guy. Then he said he would check the lines. So I followed him out.
After looking for where the cable comes out of the house and gets to the pole, I asked him if he saw anything strange with his testing. And he said “you got a bad signal”. And I’m thinking “YES!! I’m NOT crazy! I have proof I mean what I say!! :D”

He did another test, and showed me what it was. I saw a line going up and down constantly. He said it’s supposed to be a low, flat line. So obviously there’s an issue with the cable. And he said he would fix it by replacing the cable. He also told me how the previous tech guy…didn’t exactly check everything.
I had to go through hell by moving the dresser out of the way, to get the cable (and work it around all the crap I have plugged in back there).

But at the end, he replaced the cable going from the modem to the house, and the house to the power pole outside. He said “if this doesn’t get it, then it’s up to the maintenance people.” and told me that it won’t be on my end. That is a relief.
So, if the problem doesn’t come back…….I will FINALLY switch gears and get back to my job of reviewing PS4 games.
Actually, even if it does (yet isn’t bad enough to cause me to not be able to upload the video to Youtube), I’ll be still getting back to doing videos. I’ll admit, I’ve been procrastinating. ESO has my full attention, instead of my job. 😛

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention this. When he was putting the new cable up, I asked him about this ‘buyout’ to Charter. He’s acting like he doesn’t know what’s going on (which is the same reaction I had from the first tech guy that told me).
Plus I told him about the 200Mbps and asked him…”are you sure about that? Not even Speedtest can go above 100Mbps!” He too doesn’t see that being possible either. Plus he feels trouble in the future, of how people will be all “my internet is only going 150Mbps! FIX PL0X!!”
He also mentioned I would be getting the faster speed in May, instead of April. I told him the previous guy said April, and he said “I think he got the county wrong”, stating the county I live in will be getting it in May. Also stated they’re already installing it in Kentucky.

.
One last thing before I wrap this up;
As currently what I’m seeing from Speedtest (of the time of this post)…. well…. it looks like the problem is about….80% fixed. I’m not exactly seeing a major drop in speed, but I am seeing the meter not jump to 36-37Mbps off the bat. It’s taking like 3-4 seconds instead of a second to get that fast.
As long as I don’t see speeds of 5-10Mbps like I was before, I’m not going to bitch.

.
EDIT: Played ESO.. had a few spikes. However, nothing that was ruining combat for me! Plus, I ran a Speedtest when it happened.. and my speed was perfectly normal! 😀
I believe that was just server lag, and not client lag. I’m now nearly convinced they fixed it. I would be completely convinced, but I also feel I should be cautious.
Tomorrow is the true debater. Almost Level 50. If I can get there, and defeat Molag Bal without ANY issues with client lag, I will be convinced they got it.
But first, I need to do my job.

The tech guy came exactly at 3pm.
