So I have two important things to talk about. One is the future of the homepage, and the other involves my videos.<\/p>\n
The first thing, is “the future of the homepage”. See, if you remember my “Benies-blogs.com screams for a new homepage” post in here, I had stated I finally figured out how to do it the way I wanted. Yet the guy I spoke to(named ‘Brand’), never responded to me for several days. I had assumed he forgot, so I didn’t bother telling him. And now all the sudden, he approaches me. And I’m all “Hey, wait.. wait a minute! I don’t need this anymore!”
\nThough he asked me if I have a mic and Teamspeak. Since I have a mic (but not Teamspeak), I told him and he said to go grab TS, so I did. Got it installed, set up my mic (and the TS server info of their server), then was told to go wait in one of these five rooms. I did. About 10-15 minutes, these two came in. One was Brand, and the other was my contact who goes by the name of ‘Ismael’.<\/p>\n
Since this ‘Ismael’ person was willing to help me, I told him how I still really want better control of my homepage. So he and Brand discussed a few concepts with me (and also showed some templates). I finally did choose one that I liked, which is this<\/a>(it’s called “overflow”). It looks pretty nice. . The second thing is easier, and it also fits with the theme of the entire site (Benies-BLOGS.com). The second would also act as an archive. All I have to do is just post them there. So, that is my decision. I’m going to make another WordPress blog. I’ll be doing it sometime either this evening or tonight, and updating the homepage to point to the new blog. I just need to think of another template that will properly display my Youtube videos.<\/p>\n . So I have two important things to talk about. \nThough when I asked him “Well, how would I go about editing this?”, he said “I’ll do it”. This actually concerns me a bit. Does this mean I have to have him join as my co-owner, so he can do the editing? I don’t know him as much as I did angry, and I’m a bit scared. I have him on Steam, but he left for the night. So I asked Brand to please ask him what he means by letting him do the editing. I’m hoping he means that he’s going to make some kind of script to allow me to visually change what I need to (which would be links, and videos).
\nIt won’t be done anytime soon (and I told Ismael that it’s understandable and to take his time). It’s possibly not going to be done until maybe Halloween, or even past this. He also wants credit, and that’s no problem at all.<\/p>\n
\nAnd now the second thing. Not anywhere as nerve-wracking as the above. I’ve gotten a lot of comments about my videos. Some were positive, some were positively “yur voice SUX LOLOLOLOL!!!!”, or comments like “dude your voice is so quiet!”(I have tried to fix that by raising the microphone volume in my latest video) but there was one that kept repeating and had me thinking; “Are you going to make a list of all of your videos? I keep missing them because you keep changing the homepage.”
\nThere’s two ways I can do this. One would take more work, though.
\n1. (the ‘takes work’ one) Make two pages. One with my PS4 Video Reviews, and one with my ‘Benie Fails At’ series.
\n2. Create and Host a 3rd WordPress blog, showing both video sections.<\/p>\n
\nThe first thing involves making two pages. Unfortunately, this is an issue with KompoZer. The project has been long abandoned (the latest dev build was back in 2011). So this issue is with embedded things (like videos). It causes the page to error, saying “This page can’t be edited for an unknown reason.”
\nThe page can still be, but it’s a bitch to do. I have to use HTML to change the video links. This is why I still need help with the homepage.<\/p>\n
\nIt’s done. Blog has been made. Took some time to get the videos there, because I also needed to check their length, when they were uploaded, etc…
\nBasically, I made a list to make it look nicer, as this is where the videos are going to be archived. Ohh, and one other thing. Tomorrow is October 1st. Can’t wait to see next month’s free PS+ games for the PS4.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
