Ever since I started playing Fallout 3 and Wurm on this new hardware, I’ve been having alot of issues. And I blame them all on my video card.
\nBut, how? The thing’s a BRAND NEW card! Why is it causing more grief than my old 7600GS??<\/p>\n

Just today, in Paint.NET, I was working on putting a few Fallout 3 pics on Facepunch. Saved them, quit, suddenly the entire system locks up on me, causing me to do an emergency shutdown(hitting the power switch on the back of my PC).<\/p>\n

These…lock ups are having more and more frequently! Maybe all I have to do is preform system maintenance. It may be a virus, causing the locking up for all I know. Or I just need to defrag.
\nAnd here, a new patch for Fallout 3 has been released, to take care of the crashing issues. But some people are reporting it’s crashing EVEN MORE. Hello irony.<\/p>\n

This, lock up issue. It was only isolated in Wurm. S.T.A.L.K.E.R wasn’t affected. FarCry 2 wasn’t affected. But something about Fallout 3.
\nUsually when it does lock up. Monitor 2 flickers, causing Monitor 1 to freeze. First noticed it in Wurm. Thought it was just my antivirus. When I disable it, it doesn’t do it.
\nLater on, now it’s doing it without the antivirus!<\/p>\n

And in Fallout 3, it’s even worse… when it crashes, it locks up the entire system. Sometimes, I can recover from the crash and keep on playing. But other times, it locks it up for hours and doesn’t really crash And sometimes it locks up for a few seconds and does what I call a “safe crash”, and even then it can STILL lock up when you tell it to close it!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
