Today marks the halfway point of the LunaLong.
\nThe event with Emoo showing up, I went to bed an hour later than I typically do. Got on a few hours later, lowkey worried about the freezing rain potential for my area IRL tonight.
\nWho know that worry would actually be legitimate…

\nAnyway, I did what I said I was going to do last night, and went hunting for things I can groom. And sadly, I didn’t see much (besides the SW side of Lormere). Reminded myself of someone saying that shearing is another way to raise AH. Looked up the scissors that you can make. Creation needs Blades Smithing, but can be imped with BS. So I went back to Kappa and asked if someone could do it. Without question, it was done, and I volunteered to imp it myself.

\nLater on, it seems that my imping services are being taken by others. It made me question if I should just pack up and go home. But I waited for Sol to rise and left again, hoping this new pair of scissors would be a real helper to getting AH up.
\nI went all around Surefall Lake, and half around the big lake to the north and west. Ran into a ram, had a shear option. Tried to shear..

\n*facepalm.jpg* …The wiki never stated<\/strong> this bullshit!! So I added it, in hopes it won’t confuse anyone else. And as I was doing so (while imping tools)… the power went out. I didn’t have much time to say “I just lost power.” in chat, as I lost internet connection due to no power. My UPS was able to give me enough time to save what I could, and shut down the computer normally.<\/p>\n

It was a very, very long five hours myself and my parents waited for the power to be restored. The first time I called, the power company estimated it would be back on at 2:30am.
\nA few hours, we had a utility truck pull up infront of the house. They stated that a large limb had fallen on the lines, causing the outage. So kids, it isn’t just the power lines that can snap from so much ice, tree limbs near them (with the right amount of wind) can do it too. 0.20″ of ice can add 500 pounds to things. All it needs is either more ice, and\/or wind to cause it to snap.
\n2:30am, power’s still off. Now they say the power won’t be on.. till 12:30pm. FUCK!! But hope shined in the darkness when I saw an emergency tree service truck show up, and proceed to cut off the limb. With it now off, we can get power, right..?! This didn’t happen until exactly at 3am (when the ice changed over to a cold rain).
\nWas in the kitchen, hearing another tree limb falling outside. Suddenly, the lights came on! I had the biggest smile on my face, even cheering. Thank GOD it’s back!! ..Fuck, my nerves are shot.
\nBut it’s not over. The NWS warns that trees are still frozen (and will be for the next two hours), and any breeze could cause even more outages. I pray to God, that we’ve seen enough… for hopefully the rest of the season (all the way to Spring).
