So THIS is what I’ve been doing (posting this) instead of making a god damn altar to start praying to Vynora. But it’s a thought of “if I move, I’ll have to make another altar (because I can’t load it up)! It’ll be like making a new mailbox!”
\nPlus… it feels there’s really no point in logging on anymore (in the short term). And it’s that dreaded “then what?” feeling causing it. “So I’ll get BS to 70.. then what?” “So I’ll get mining to 70.. then what?” I think I’m still a bit peeved at myself for (temporarily) leaving on Day 3 of the Impalong. I give it high praise…. so why in the fuck did I leave it? I could had gotten 70 BS if I didn’t fucking leave!!
\nSeeing my stuff in my forge, suddenly feels like there’s no longer a purpose. I actually wanted to imp some of my things up (myself), to help in Carp during the impalong (to move away from BS). That’s no longer the case (since the event is over), and it just takes the point out of imping (you know?). Another thing is not being able to fucking imp my carving knife (even though it’s a tool and should fall into Blacksmithing… it’s also a weapon).<\/p>\n
Then the thought goes back to not having the needed veins to grind mining (even though Wargasm said I’ll get the same skill from Sandstone). But was he right? I had to ask a second opinion. And he seems he was half-right. At least, according to this program<\/a> I saw a month ago (but was confused of what I was seeing). I’ve now been taught how it works. …Which, brings me to the point of this blog post. It’s something I’ve been thinking of for awhile now, but was unsure just how I would be able to properly execute it. That was until a few days ago, where I sat down infront of three instances of DeedPlanner (one having the current deed dump, one having the earliest version of the pre-deed (before its founding), and the final being the ‘clean slate’ map). And of course, I’m unsure if I like the design. The #1 thing that keeps me from liking it, is… that resting area isn’t going to fucking HELP me when Wurm’s mechanics are driving me up the wall (as I’ll still see my neighbor’s deed to the SW). Plus, it just isn’t anything like the view I had on Hermit Isle. I want that view so badly. Even the one in Exo, had a beautiful view of the ocean. \nTo way to use it, I need to look for the ‘Mean’. It needs to be as close to 20 as possible, with 10-30 being ‘acceptable’ range (basing on one’s current Mining skill, Pickaxe skill, and the Pickaxe QL). And using my current mining\/pickaxe skill, I’ve been able to figure out that I’ll need a 63QL pick (for gold and marble veins). It unfortunately doesn’t cover Sandstone (claims to be 45 difficulty).
\nSo, I’m to assume for Sandstone, I’m going to need (at the minimum), a 68-70QL pick (close to my main pick).
\nAnother reason why I haven’t been going gung ho with making the altar, is I felt my plan to receive that 10% skillgain bonus would be flawed. And the reason why, is the wiki clearly states that you’ll only get follower bonuses if<\/em> you’re in your God’s domain (aka when you see “You feel the presence of (god name here).” in the Event tab). And I assumed I would need to make… two<\/strong><\/em> altars (one for the deed, and one in the canal).
\nHowever, this no longer seems to be the case (which is a shock with how brutal Wurm can be at times). I’m being told that the effect is global. And since I was gaining Favor while being in the Impalong… that means I won’t even need to build an altar in the first place! I can just find a deed that already has a Vynora altar, and hang there for about 5 days to ‘get my pray on’ until reaching the max I can go (without being a priest).
\nHowever, I’ve decided I’ll make my own (for the convenience). Plus, I’ll be able to easily go back to it after pissing her off (of redesigning the deed).<\/p>\n
\nUsing the first two was needed to cross-reference, to figure out just where the original ‘canal’ was. I want to (once again) try to mix the old with the new. And…
\nThis, is what I came up with<\/a> (so far<\/a>). Taking center stage is the old horse pens that I really liked. And as you can see, I got the old ‘grinding floor’ on the right (but the same size as the current Workshop). And on the left is the cart garage\/storage combo building<\/a>.
\nThe house, I made it a lot bigger<\/a>. The second floor<\/a> was designed to be a two bedroom structure. I thought of having one room for myself and B2, and the other for Tulsi.. but.. ehh, I rather not talk about it anymore, for that horse has turned to bone dust for as many times as I’ve beaten it. Instead I would give the other room to B2.<\/p>\n
\nAlmost wants to make me move back to post-OR (in Deedplanner) and try the idea there. Then again, even OR’s slope to the ocean isn’t anything like those two deeds. Clay, clay everywhere<\/a>. On the hill, and in the ocean.
\nAnd that’s why I’ve once again been thinking about moving. I’ll even consider moving to Xanadu (now I know it’s not as<\/em> bad as I thought with the lag) as long as I can find a nice flat spot next to the ocean (with no other deeds around).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
