Little did I know, this would mark the start of the downfall, of the Best Boi community. It will go down as ‘The Plaque Incident’.<\/em><\/p>\n

So this is the second time I attempted to re-write this blog post (in an attempt to clarify a few things). The first time, I was nearly done and I assumed WordPress saved my work, and unfortunately it did not.
\nNow in hopes of my edits actually saving<\/em> this time, time to get on with the show.

\nI don’t think there’s ever been a recent VRChat related blog post, that doesn’t have one ounce of drama in it. And honestly (for once), I wish I wouldn’t have to be posting said drama. But if Kibble doesn’t get off his high horse and actually listen<\/u> to the community that he has created, I feel this drama is going to get more and more problematic (until he either gives control to someone else, or shuts the server down).
\nI mean sure, with the news he brings in every meeting with pretty awesome upcoming changes to the server, you’d feel I’m just trying to start shit with Kibble… but you’d be wrong. I’m quite worried for the future of this server’s community. And I’m also not alone in these concerns.<\/p>\n

People are starting to take notice of the plaque (ever since Kibble managed to fix the issue of the new world not showing up in search), and are having feelings of ‘favoritism’ (or worse). I really didn’t mind it at first, but after someone managed to open my eyes to the truth, I can now see the problem.
\nAnd the problem isn’t<\/em> the plaque itself, but the names of certain people on it (that shouldn’t (or should) be there). Creating a unique fursona and RPing with it (and Kibble sees it), is what adds you to the plaque. But we believe people like Twitchin, don’t deserve to be on that list.<\/p>\n

Creepery didn’t even know about this plaque. But instead of being smart and bringing the news down easy, I just slapped it down infront of him ‘without caring’ of his reaction (and I feel bad for it). He vowed to not include the plaque in his tours.
\nThis afternoon, I tried to talk sense into him by saying that if he wants Kibble to respect him, to be mature about it (and include it in the tour). And he promised to do so.
\nAnd also today, Jrock saw this and got immediately pissed at Kibble, despite Creepery and myself trying to calm him down (as he’s trying to spread his hate through the community).
\nBut we managed to calm him down, and later on he comes up to us, proposing to do a website that would have a large suggestion board for Kibble to read. I tried to tell him that there’s already a Suggestions channel on the Discord server, but he’s all “no one reads that, we need more people! I got friends willing to help me on this”.
\nThen suddenly he changes his tone, saying “it’ll take two or more months for anything to get done”, followed by “nooooo no I’m done with this shit” and leaves. This makes Creepery visibly upset, and I comfort him saying “don’t let it get to you”. He thanks me for it (and all the other kind words I’ve said to him).<\/p>\n

The day continued on, and the drama was getting worse. More and more people were being annoyed by the names on the plaque (and why certain people weren’t there). Clearly, this plaque is going to tear the community apart with jealousy (to the point we felt we had to do our own private meeting (through a private server, without risk of being warned\/banned by Kibble)). Something<\/strong> has to be done, before we have a ‘civil war’ on our hands. As much as we want to express our concerns directly to Kibble, he’ll feel we’re a bunch of people trying to start drama on the server. He won’t listen to us… so the only thing we can do, is try to get the mods and admins on our side (as he should<\/em> listen to them).
\nBut the plaque is also the least of the problems here. One such issue Creepery brought up (before my time of joining VRChat), is Kibble stating he will never sell the models (or make plushies of them), yet he’s allowing Twitchin to do it. I gave them my quite obvious reason (of Twitchin trying to get Kibble to TwitchCon), and they agree.<\/p>\n

A comment was brought up of “why do we even have meetings? Do you see any other world doing meetings?” Another one adds on “that’s why we have a Discord server for that”, and I couldn’t agree more. The Ugandan Wars are over (declared by Kibble himself), yet we’re still<\/em> having these weekly meetings like we’re discussing battle plans. Why? Why not just use the announcements section in the Discord server, to say what you want to say?
\nAnd as for ranking, base it on what the admins and mods think of people on the server (or just fully get rid of it, and flat-out call us all Best Boi (excluding people that deserve the higher rank)). Aka, like the MRT Server. Hell, Kibble could take pointers from Frumple, instead of trying to “relive the glory days”.

\nAnother concern, is Kibble going back on his word of giving anyone a Best Boi– by offering anyone (who is legally Irish) their own Saint Patrick’s Day Best Boi. This didn’t really hit me when the meeting was happening, until someone said “this is discriminatory against people that aren’t Irish.”
\nYet not only that, but he’s going back on his word. Saying “you can’t have any of the models” to “I’ll give you this model if you’re actually Irish”. Though if he had just said “give me your best Irish impression, and you will win a chance to get this model to keep forever”, things would had been better.
\nAnother part of this, is what I told them (of what I explained in an earlier blog post), of possibly another version of why Kibble won’t make the models public (with zero mention that the inspiration of the Best Boi model, is copyrighted by Telephone). He’s walking on a thin line there.

\nFinally I’m hearing from a few people (but I’m trying not to believe this, as it feels ridiculous to me), that Kibble is “trying to control VRChat by getting everyone into his world”. I don’t believe this one bit. It just feels too far fetched.<\/p>\n

\nBut overall, I understand the man is stressed out (he’s got a family to take care of, a job, and this server). But he also needs to realize, the community he created needs him now more than ever. And if he’s not willing to listen to it, then he seriously needs to turn over the reins to someone else (before all hell breaks loose).
\nA lot of people are getting annoyed at this. Kibble.. NEEDS to LISTEN TO US.<\/p>\n

\nUPDATE: This probably won’t be the last update, as Kibble is planning to address the issues tonight. First off, I need to fill you guys in on something. There’s an Alliance that happened between Best Boi Studios, and AshiPaws Furry Hub. Ashi has a Best Boi as one of the avatars that people can choose from, as well as having a portal to his world in the Best Boi server. This server is also where we had our private meeting.
\nSo now I have good news and bad news (given to us in an announcement by Kibble, with an update “later tonight”). The good news is he has removed the plaque (including the entire Saint Patrick’s Day world). Ashi is sort of concerned after trying to talk about the seasonal Best Boi model to Kibble (and getting blocked), that the Alliance could be broken.
\nWhich, brings me to the bad news. Kibble still doesn’t understand what’s going on (or maybe he doesn’t care), and is calling us “parrots” for trying to get him to reason. Though I feel this is much more than just us, as I have overheard Kibble is getting extremely annoyed at the people continuously asking him about the model (and other questions, that are clearly answered in the FAQ).
\nI almost feel sorry for him, of what he’s going through. Well, I would fully feel sorry if he would just give control to someone else (if it’s stressing him out this much).<\/p>\n

All I can say is… let’s just see what happens later on today. My mind is filled with so many things that could<\/em> happen (some good, and some bad), but I’m trying to not let them bug me until he finally speaks.
\nI’m cautiously curious as to what he has to say. Watch this space for any updates. I’ll provide them as quick as I can (depending how much info fills my brain that I can remember in words).<\/p>\n

UPDATE2: It’s been several hours, and I’m still waiting for Kibble’s response. But now I’m back in VRChat (after spending most of the day re-writing this, and doing some RL things).
\nIf he is going to say anything, obviously it’ll be either when I wake up and check Discord after eating breakfast, or him saying that it’ll be discussed during the meeting(which I think is more likely, as it would get more exposure).
\nI’ve been hanging out in Ashi’s world for most of the evening. Yes it’s a hub for furries, but this might be my new hub (if something happens to us, and\/or the Best Boi server).

\nThough, I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, that I might<\/u> try my hand in creating my own worlds<\/b> for my friends and I to hang out in. Two of my friends have already done so, and both say it’s “pretty easy once you get the hang of it”.
\nYet to do so, I would likely have to pay for some Unity Assets (such as textures, and skyboxes). And I’m not a real fan of that. Then again, maybe I can get these assets for free (as I did to make the Steve model be all wiggly with Dynamic Bones). I just need to find “the right friends” that would be willing to do so.
\nI was even planning to have a world that would have avatar pedestals of all the models I’ve downloaded from VRC Mods (so people won’t have to). Though I think I might have to get in contact with LightRuler (and others), if it’s OK to do so (as they’re still their models). Yet I don’t -think- I would have an issue with them… as the models are literally right there on the website for anyone to download. All I<\/em> want to do is have it where people who aren’t used to Unity (and uploading models), won’t have to.
