Day 2 began where it ended: She left me. God DAMN, Time Warner! I was SO CLOSE!! And you RUINED it! D:(
\nBut in reality, she wasn’t online when I logged on. But thankfully there were no mobs around to bug me as I hopped back on my horse. With it now day, managed to make my way back to the main roads. And with the map, I was able to get my bearings.
\nSince CD wasn’t on, I decided to explore her village on my own. It’s..smaller than I pictured it. I pictured a huge field of trees, and a romantic patio in the middle that she sampled her wines (in a champagne glass).
\nHowever, this little town definitely had flair. It was prettier than my place at least. There was this one area where it was a one-tile road, surrounded by iron fences. And behind them was grass and houses. It felt so European.
\nAlso was a properly-named house called “The Dragon’s Lair”, made out of wood. Infact, every house she built was made out of wood… wow. She works with wood too.. *smiles*.
\nSo I never found her 4×4 Greenhouse. I think she meant a 2×2, as I did see a wood house (named ‘Champagnedragon’s cottage’) with a bunch of flower pot planters against the wall.<\/p>\n
With this done, it was time to continue to head further south to reach the Southern Coast (and stay clear away from the Rift that opened to the Southeast, as I hear all of these bad things happening). I also discovered I wasn’t South enough to get to her place (as I found this bridge she kept mentioning about in her PM, when I asked her last week if I could come visit).
\nSo I turned south, crossed the bridge, then headed inroute to FM. One of the reasons being, I’m planning to get a new horse to… well, replace Flashsilver. She’s been a great horse, but she keeps stopping and starting and that’s becoming annoying (and too risky). I’m almost convinced that she might be a 3-speed. This became more apparent as she’s struggling to get up the path that connects to the NW highway.<\/p>\n
Reached FM. There’s a pointing sign on the West side of FM, stating they’re selling 5-speeds for 40c each… yet the sign was pointing in the direction I just came from, and I saw nothing that looked like an area you can buy a horse by buying a key.
\nI asked kchat, who never gave me an answer. Thinking I may’ve just not been paying attention (as I was taking pictures with the UI disabled), I turned around and went back on the NW highway.
\nTwo people showed up in Local who were talking about grapes and stuff. I asked them about the sign and where is this place that I go to buy a horse. ‘Freddy’ is the only one that spoke to me, and said he would wiki it. When he got done, he said how he didn’t find anyone giving away free horses… wat. I said SELL!, and explained it. Yet he’s clueless and tells me to “ask the help chat”.
\nAsk in kchat again, they too are clueless as to what I’m talking about. So whoever the person was that offered the service, isn’t doing it anymore (yet never took down the sign).
\nI saw this two more times just by roaming around the outskirts of FM. These areas actually had an area that existed, but the deed was.. gone, and so were the horses. It seems my only option is when I get home, to trade for a better horse (or use one of my other faster horses).<\/p>\n
Set up camp and logged out at the second one that’s just off of the ‘Great South Mountain Road’, due to Sol setting (and it being dinnertime). Now as I type this and watching Wurm Clock, Sol is going down within the next 1-2 RL hours. Had to eat before the large, circular atom-smashing machine could rise. I imagine when I reach the outskirts of Gurubear’s Crater, it will be close to Solset once again.<\/p>\n

\nLogged back in after saying what I said above. Picked up camp and got back on my horse, and continued to head South. Didn’t encounter any mobs, which was a shock. And the views… those views. Wow. I even got to the highest point of the route, which is marked by a colossus and a sign stating that this road was done back in 1021(Wurm year) to ‘conquer the mountain’.
\nMy next leg on the Indy Romp is to finally head to Gurubear’s Crater. Last time I attempted, I was far West and tried to use the new ‘Magranon’s Scar’ road (but back then it was still being worked on, and felt unsafe to continue).
\nThis time, the roads would (hopefully) be done. Finally found one of them, but the way up felt like it was taking way..way longer than what it showed on the map. Ran into a few mobs, but nothing I couldn’t handle. But as I continued to go up, I decided to get on the Plate armor, which would be a good idea later on.
\nCame across a guard tower…that would fucking save my life as all the sudden, it was like the darkest parts of hell just opened up over me, and death was certain. Started with a troll up the road, with another troll further up. Tried to get the guards to deal with the first troll, then I had a wolf biting my shins (that I disposed of). Went back to assist with the troll, yet I was being attacked. Didn’t understand why, ran off to heal up.. then saw the other troll is now after me. Thankfully the first troll died and the guards were able to engage this one.
\nWith everyone died, I hopped off my horse to go butcher the corpses. BIG mistake as a hellhound popped up out of nowhere and started attacking me! Was able to get the guards to assist with that while I healed up. FUCK..that was close.
\nManaged to butcher the corpses no problem. Someone in kchat said that butchering humanoids (aka trolls) have a chance to drop recipes.<\/p>\n
Finally made it to the top.. and there it was. FINALLY made it to ‘Gurubear’s Crater’! The area was littered with scorps as far as the eye can see. Had a few come close and engage. With the plate armor, I never got a Medium. Though I had several sub-meds (10-14 damage) that I was able to heal. Waited for Sol to rise again, as I didn’t want to risk running through fields of scorps to get to where I need to go. As I waited, I checked kchat to see if CD came on and did her normal small talk. Well, she did. But… it wasn’t pretty;

\n…Ouch. So I’m a “stranger” to you? I thought we had something, with both of our names having ‘dragon’ in them. Plus how you say I ‘wandered’ into your area? Do you not remember a week ago(the 2nd) I asked if I could come over and see your deed?<\/p>\n
Dragon’s got bite, that’s for sure. Though I still don’t like being called a ‘stranger’ (and being humiliated). Being serious now, you should expect that to happen (of a random person coming onto your deed). This is an MMO. It happens (the irony in my words right now of being anti-social). I also have to deal with it. Plus, you<\/em> were the one that offered me<\/strong> to see your deed. I never once asked (except in that PM, which you were fine with). Having a 360 view of the crater, was pretty wild. There was a village welcome sign and a regular sign here, and a NPC called “Crater conservationist”. Looking at the signs, it showed a link of why the crater is here (link here<\/a>), and it’s mainly to do with this dev (Gurubear) who strangely likes open spaces (with no trees). Though IMO, instead of making a crater in the middle of nowhere (that’s hard to reach), go live in The Grand Steppe. But.. it’s there. Though it’s also nice, I’ll give it that. Continued South, following the route until I ended up at a place named “South Newberry”. On the sign of the road was a sign saying “4 and 5 speed horses 4-sale PM Bismoll”. Wow. A person calling is name “Bismoll”. I can almost see what made him choose the name; Asked him if he had high AH(Animal Husbandry) to tell the traits of the horses. He says he has 58. So I went around the pen while leading my horse, looking at the fine specimens. At the end I found this brown one, who turned out to be a 5-speed. Asked if I could trade my horse for his, but that didn’t happen (he wanted money). Told him “since people in FM are offering 30-40c for a 5-speed, I’ll pay you 50c”…but the bastard wanted more. He wanted 2s. Wtf.. that’s the price of a sailboat! Tried to haggle my way to get the price down (by offering the two Valrei items I found in The Grand Steppe). After telling him what they did, he didn’t want them. Then he offered to go down to 1.5s, “if not, np” (as in “that’s as low as I’m going”). Tried to Lead the horse, and I couldn’t. Started to get suspicious he wasn’t holding up his end of the deal, but found out he was still leading the horse. He stopped leading and I tried again, couldn’t, and told him I couldn’t. So he lead the horse off-deed (after I told him that the horse should still have a Lead option (aka to set the perms)), and I was able to lead it. And instead of right then and there checking if I had full permissions and moved what Flashsilver had over to the new horse, I thanked him and ran off, continuing going South. I had already planned for B2 to come sail down here and pickup Flashsilver and take her back home. My joy then turned to anger as I couldn’t put the saddle on her, getting “You are not allowed to do that.” messages. The guy…forgot to turn over perms to me. Trying to reach him through PM, and he was offline. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU—!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Decided to go ask Tulsi to do something…evil for me (which is to make CD’s life a living hell for humiliating me in kchat, yet not mention myself in it). He asked why, and I sent what she told them about myself being a “stranger” to her. And he hopped on and got to work. \ud83d\ude42 So, yeah. Gotta wait for this guy to come back on (or at least someone that has control over the horse). I actually blame myself for not telling him to change the perms so I’ll be able to lead the horse (or anything about perms). He obviously doesn’t know that horses are like boats; both have their own permissions. Well, at least now. \nWhat a feisty female, you are (and a typical bitch). Obviously she’s playing the “I don’t need a male in my life” card (even though she has a boyfriend).
\nAs I was contemplating the thought of “maybe it would had never worked out between us”, an Anaconda showed up. Tried to engage it, but decided to run back to the tower as I was taking too much damage. Had a bear and a wolf both after me. Normally I would engage, but not with how low my health was.
\nLured the remaining bear to the guards and healed up as they killed it. Headed back up. Didn’t see the wolf or the snake. At this time, Sol was starting to make its arc up and the sky was slowly getting brighter. Going over the map, I discovered I went too far South on the mountain road and took the SE route into the crater (which is MUCH longer than the East one). I also saw a route near me that would make a B-line for the center of the crater (which according to the map is a guard tower). So I went there. There’s another guard tower here, which saved my life even more.
\nAt last count, there was two scorpions, a bear, a hellhound, a spider, and a wolf. It felt like I couldn’t even get time to breath until another mob showed up to try to eat me.
\nWith them all dead, I found the route to the center of the crater. I stood on the road, thinking about what CD said about me (and also focusing on when I should make a run for the center). Finally just ended up waiting for Sol to start lighting the crater enough. When it finally happened, I went for it, and made to the center of the crater! Flashsilver gave it her all. I guess she knew she was going to be replaced and wanted to prove to me that she’s still a reliable horse, and it definitely showed.<\/p>\n
\nThe only thing wrong was the NPC’s ‘Talk’ option wouldn’t work. There’s also another NPC named “Wanderer” (near the East route) who also won’t speak to me.
\nWhen I had enough pictures, I left through the East route. It had two options to get down the mountain; a 20 slope and a 40 slope. Chose the 40 slope (as that’s the limit a horse can go) and I was flying down the mountain. Though there was this one time the road ended of what looked like a mine door. Yet I saw it snaking around to the East again and made it back to the main roads. Yay!<\/p>\n
\n“Ohh god, thank you Pepto Bismol! ..Wait a minute. I shall honor this relief of my stomach by naming my Wurm Online character ‘Bismoll’!!”.. lol.
\nAnyway, I went on following the road as it was going to take me all the way to the Indy\/Deli Boat Bridge. Came up on another town named “Dead Man’s Drop”. Person named ‘Ancil’ is in my local. Said hi, he said hi. Asked him if he lives near the town to the East, and he said yes and asked me. Told him I live on the NW side of the server.
\nThen I asked him if this ‘Bismoll’ guy comes on, and he said yes. Asked him to please inform him that I’m interested in buying some horses from him.
\nHe then said that he too has horses to sell and asked if I wanted to see them. Thought ‘sure’. He lead me to this pen with all of these horses, young and old.. with one sadly dead in the middle of the pen.<\/p>\n
\nI reluctantly agreed to it (still feeling that was a bit too much for a 5-speed) and asked him where his token was. But before I gave him the money, I told him to bring over the horse (to make it a fair deal). He did, and I paid him. Yet instead of saying “thank you” after seeing the coins in his trade window, he says “whatok”. Said that this is what you agreed on. He says “fine” and takes the coins.. dude, you said 1.5s. I gave you 1.5s. WTH is with people nowadays? If you didn’t want to sell the horse(guy probably thought it was worth as much as it costs to found a deed(5s)), then speak up!<\/p>\n
\nReached the end of the highway, and got off the new horse. Got off the saddle from Flashsilver. Then I turned around…and she disappeared. That “OSHI–” feeling filled my head as I frantically started searching for her. Found her up the hill, but I was too heavy to go up there. Got several ouchies from fall damage that I was forced to heal. After two attempts, I dropped everything I had on me (armor, weapons, tools.. everything) to be as lightweight as possible in order to get up the hill quickly (before the Stamina bar dropped to 0). This finally worked, and I got her back down to my other horse.<\/p>\n
\nI felt it was deliberate for awhile, with him thinking I cheated him. But then I calmed down and remembered when he was saying how he was new at this. And so, here I am, sitting in the same pen that I got the horse while typing this, and waiting for him to get back on in order to give me perms.<\/p>\n
\nDo I feel sorry for what happened to her after Tulsi did his thing? In ways, yes. I do<\/em> feel ashamed about this whole “she has ‘dragon’ in her name, I must impress the female and get her to like me!” crap. Yeah, that was stupid. But thankfully she never caught on, or that would had been even more<\/span> humiliating. Yet even if I didn’t feel like that and just wanted to be a friendly person in the community (saying hi instead of helping out by being a contributing member), I don’t like what she said about me.
\nI will say this, though. She doesn’t really like her boyfriend (but knows she has to deal with him). Saying if she ever dumps him, that she’s not getting another (aka going for the ‘strong independent woman’ thing, which is<\/em> a good thing).<\/p>\n
