Where to start with this one? What is this, the 5th or so post about this dragon that blessed me with such distress and misery?
\nWell, this is another one. But it won’t<\/em> be the final one. For that one, comes this Friday.
\nSo this day started with seeing Cybaru’s alt still up in that mine that we were planning to pen the dragon in.. and then I fucked up and all.
\nI walked over to where the dragon escaped. Noticed the deed B2 had is now gone. I stared at where she made her escape, and kept hoping that she would come back and be all “I’m sorry! I’ll be good! Please let me be your pet! I don’t want to be killed!” But..since NPCs can’t talk (unless scripted), that can never fucking happen. Walked around the walls I had just placed the day before. All I could feel was anger, and sadness at the same time.
\nThen I got myself trapped in the area, because B2 locked the gate. Was getting ready to get him on when Cybaru herself popped up in Alliance chat. I knew I had to tell her the bad news, so I did. …But instead of being greatly annoyed that she wasted her time coming all of this way, she’s all “you got to find her before the others do”.
\nSo, she assisted in helping to look for her, by using a ‘Reveal Creatures’ spell. And she found her up in the hills. Apparently one can<\/em> get up there. I still feel like there’s no point, but she convinced me that we have to trap her again. And we tried, and tried and tried. But we could never get her back into that mine through the door. Tulsi also helped, but even he couldn’t get her to go.<\/p>\n

I had B2 stand there ready to seal her back in, but it seemed the mine door didn’t function like it did yesterday. I even had the permissions correctly set (that “Everyone” can enter it).
\nSo I thought “let’s just get her into my mine for the time being. I don’t need the resources right now”.
\nCyberu came up with a followup idea, of securing her deep in my mine by using Stonewall to seal her in. Thing is, one of us would have to be running around like a chicken with its head cut off, for three minutes, waiting for the cast to complete. Not to mention, they would also be sealed in with the dragon. Tulsi volunteered, as he had nothing to loose.
\nWe tried for a good half an hour, continiously trying to kite the dragon away from the abandoned deed. One time I felt that maybe she didn’t want to go in because I was mounted, so I ran into my deed, took all of my armor off (and everything else), got off my horse, and said “ok, girl.. no more games. You’re going to be pinned!”..annnd it didn’t happen. Everytime one of us got her all the way to where my mine was and then went into the mine to lure her in, she lowers her body (as if she’s saying “you are NOT trapping me again!!”) and then runs back into the hills towards the abandoned deed.
\nWhile this was going on, I had B2 still back at the mine door. A bear showed up and mauled him to death. With no deed, he was forced to respawn in FM. Ran over and saw the bear eating B2’s corpse. Tried to lure it out, but the gate stopped it. That… that’s just another fucking slap in my face, isn’t it? The whole reason I thought the dragon would get through the gate yesterday, is I remember before I had locks on my deed gates, a troll showed up and actually went through my gate, and in my house to get me. So…I assumed the dragon would do the same thing. The gate was unlocked, yet the bear wouldn’t walk through..JUST like that damn dragon.<\/p>\n

Fed up, I say “let’s just get her BACK into the same mine I found her!” Though I’ve never actually been in that mine and had no idea what was in there. So we all ran in. I realized I forgot my lantern (as it was in the box of stuff I dropped back in my deed). So I go get it, hop back on my horse and run back with it. I see Tulsi there, with a familiar helmet on his head. He stole it from one of my corpses. Wow. Told him to give it back and he did without question. Running over to the mine on horseback, look behind me and YEP.. she’s following me again! Tulsi is all “DUDE BEHIND YOU!!!”, but I already knew I had a fire-breathing scaly beast chasing me.
\nStarted running around the abandoned deed, her in hot pursuit. We went around the deed in circles. Was pretty hilarious. Feels like one of those Benny Hill moments. Though I was also hoping she would run out of stamina and tire herself (then we could just shove her body into the mine), but that never happened sadly.
\nFinally Cybaru said the mine would be good for her, and tried to do the same plan with my mine (that failed). This one, was the same thing. Again, she lowers her body and then runs back.<\/p>\n

Tulsi is feeling frustrated and about ready to give up, but I tell him “if we don’t capture her, they will”. But eventually I too get frustrated and yell “RUN IN, DAMN YOU!!” The stupid bitch doesn’t realize I’m trying to fucking save her life!
\nThen Cybaru gets another idea to get someone named ‘Jax’ (part of our alliance, and I remember seeing him at the Impalong) to help us…but in return, she says “but he will want to kill her”.
\nRefusing to accept this being an option, I try to tell Cybaru to just Stonewall the final wall in the area we’re preparing to get the dragon in, thinking “maybe she’s just getting bugged out and we need to try to stick her in that mine”. She starts debating Renny’s logic, saying a mine door won’t<\/strong> stop her from bashing it (according to Jax). Yet..it’s worked since the 21st. Why wouldn’t it work now?!
\nAnd then, going by Jax..the reinforced room that Renny found, wouldn’t had even worked! Something about the dragon “will run havoc” in the mine and even destroy Reinforced walls.
\nThis means.. I didn’t<\/em> fuck up. Even if I had waited and done nothing (and she never escaped), it would had never worked out. She would had escaped anyway!!
\nSo now I don’t feel like a pile of shit anymore. That’s good. And even the original plan of slapping a deed in the mine, would not had worked since Cybaru can’t cast the love spell on the dragon (without this artifact)!<\/p>\n

Then she asks me a moral question: “so still want to keep her alive?” After everything I had done to protect that dragon from the hunters (and keep her fed)…she would have none of it, due to her coding. She would rather break my fucking heart than be my pet.
\nRealizing there’s no other option, and with a heavy heart, I tell Cybaru..to do it. Get Jax over here, and…get it done. Kill her. :'(
\nBut she says the killing won’t be done ’till the weekend. We still<\/em> have to trap her. Then she tells me to go back to my deed, and she will try to lure it herself. So I run back, leaving Tulsi there. He continues to try to lead her into the mine, but still can’t get it done.<\/p>\n

Sitting in my deed, while still on my horse, I then have a thought of what both Garit and Renny told me that a Priest can cast a “love spell” to calm her down. I ask her, and she says that they now need an artifact to do it. I then ask her about this ‘path of love’ thing(that Garit mentioned), and she says it won’t work on dragons.
\nI wonder if this month will go down as the month of misinformation, because this is FUCKING RIDICULOUS!! EVERYTHING I was told to keep her as a pet, was WRONG!! .. Well, Garit did<\/em> say that he thinks<\/em> the path of love thing might work on dragons. Looks like it won’t (not without this artifact).
\nI should had JUST arranged that hunting party and told them to join when I got back from the Impalong after Christmas. This would had solved SO many problems! The hunters would be OFF my fucking back, and I wouldn’t have to worry about her!
\nBut no.. I had to be obsessed with all things dragon! This is more than “just code”.. this was a moral thing. I couldn’t let a fellow dragon die. This felt like, she was given to me by God to take care of. And now I’m forced to give this gift to the bastards that see her nothing more than a cash cow.<\/p>\n

But, it’s not all bad. What will happen, is we would arrange a Private hunting party. Since I found her, I would get first dibs on drops when she dies. That means if she drops a tome, I would get it! And instead of being no better than these unique-hunting parties, I’m not selling it for RL cash. I would keep it, as a memorial to her.
\nSo Jax created a quick n00b alt, and Cybaru told me to add him to my deed which I promptly did. He ran up the path to the abandoned deed. Meanwhile, I kept trying to bring B2 from FM, but I kept getting this “Beanietwo may not change village until X hours and X minutes has elapsed.” message. I asked Cybaru, and she said it’s because the non-perm deed thing causes a 24 hour counter from the time the deed is created (which was around 7:43pm for me).<\/p>\n

Time passed, and I had to go eat. When I came back, they were still trying to lure her into the mine. Eventually I got bored and started running back to the abandoned deed. Cybaru starts yelling there’s a troll attacking her while casing Strongwall, so I help my luring the mobs away from her. I also notice the dragon wasn’t running around the place anymore.
\nThen she said the mine was closed. I asked was the dragon sealed in, and she says “y”. So it took Jax’s alt to do what we failed to do for a good hour. Though it comes with experience I assume (with Tulsi and myself having none).
\nWith the dragon now sealed BACK in the same mine she came out of, that I found her on the 21st, we started to arrange the hunting party (more like they did and I just said “Ok” to).<\/p>\n

The rules for loot, are myself and then Cybaru will get first dibs (she has to, as she’s helping me to arrange this, along with Jax). If only one tome drops, I get it and she gets the rest. But if the tome doesn’t drop, then we call dibs on the dragon’s bones and skull. I hope to at least have her skull if no tomes drop. So after we get our loot, the rest will be randomized to the other fighters.
\nAs for the time and the date, December 30th(this Friday) @ 4:00pm EST was chosen (which works for me). We are also to meet up 15 minutes prior to the deadline, which will be interesting to everyone else who doesn’t live around here (aka the wind.. or they could come by horse).
\nI’m listed as one of the fighters in a PM Jax sent to many of his friends (and alliance members). And as painful as this feels, I feel it’s my responsibility as a dragon warrior (walking in the metallic claws of MD) to assist in ending her life. If I can’t take care of her and she won’t just be my pet(in order to protect her), then she must die..for her own good. It’s the only way to get the hunters off my back, and finally end this, once and for all.<\/p>\n

But since I cannot protect her, I can at least do my best to make sure she’s remembered in her afterlife (until she respawns somewhere else, and becomes some else’s headache). So in a few days after we get this gruesome deed done (like New Year’s Day) I’ll set up some kind of memorial for her. Have like some kind of plaque, with flowers around it, of the day I found her and the day she died (aka a gravestone).
\n“In loving memory of ‘Emeriss the Ferocious’: She was always a true bitch” So, congrats in advance, 2016. You will soon claim another that was well remembered.
\nI thought of getting one of those HOTA Dragon Statues to serve as her grave, but.. yeah. 50s, and again, I’m NOT selling the tome if I get one. Just..no. I can’t do that to her. It would tarnish her memory, and everything I tried to do to protect her.
