The day (yesterday) started with myself logging onto the MRT Server to open up any gifts I got from the other members. Got three gifts this year; not bad. Got a gift from suppoe, Narnia, and a Retired Staff present (a cane, how cute. Love it! \ud83d\ude42 ). Surprised I got any. Tulsi… well, let’s say he nearly got warned, twice, by Frumple (who was also looking for his gifts). I think I’ll let you guys figure out the reason.
\nThink I almost lost it when someone said how Tulsi is known by the members. Yeah, but this isn’t the way he -should- be known. I personally feel as long as you get one gift, you should be happy.
\nThere was one member who didn’t get any, and.. well, they didn’t do what Tulsi did. And I was hunting for any more presents for me, I busted out laughing (IRL) over a “From Tulsi To Tulsi” present. He literally gave himself a present. That’s…sad. And I think he knew it, as the books were full of cusswords.
\nAlso, Tulsi added a new word to his language; “dafaq”. Don’t really like him saying it, though I shouldn’t be surprised with today’s kids. Then again I tend to use “fuck” quite a lot when making these blog posts. But I’m an adult. \ud83d\ude1b

With that done, it was time to return to Wurm and the Impalong. And despite what happened, Tulsi is still checking up on the dragon. When I logged in and looked for my stuff, no one was talking. All I heard was the sound of mallets, hammers and chisels (still do).
\nI asked for what felt like almost 10 minutes, waiting for ANYONE to get some items out. Though, this lack of people is definitely explainable.. it is Christmas, afterall. For them to spend time with their friends and family is indeed more important than to play Wurm. I respect that.. but I’m also not a patient guy. \ud83d\ude1b
\nI feel like, still, I wish I had the skills to imp these myself and never have to attend the Impalong again (for this reason of pure laziness). I have the time to grind, I just don’t have the patience to stand infront of a forge for hours on end, watching as finally getting an item to over 50QL, keeps “You damage a (item) a little” and LOSING all of that fucking work getting it that high!! \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n
So the rest of the day, was quite boring. There wasn’t even any games planned by Shrimpiie, which is of course very disappointing. All the more reason to leave, it seems. :\/
\nEnki also didn’t do his Enki things (spawning a bunch of heavy-hitting custom-named mobs and watching the body bags of players pile up), which was kind of disappointing. I like that kind of chaos at these Impalongs. Though he did post a statement in the Event log; “Merry Christmas! I hope you like the gifts I have been laying in wait for you for Chriftmas. Tomorrow I will begin the extended version of the 365 days of Chriftmas!”
\n“Extended version”? “Chriftmas”? What are you on about, Enki? Though I’m never going to find out, as protecting my dragon is MUCH more important. Though there was this one time when the Combat log started flashing with a few people attacking an “Aged Oinky”. I found one of them, which was just a pig. I #REKT it with no damage to me, though I guess to debunk the age-old thing of pigs can hit pretty hard (as MD’s avatar on the forum showed).<\/p>\n
So as I waited for my remaining items to get imped, I saw Renny on and asked him if he’s checked the area I wanted him to. He hadn’t yet, but later on he started sailing. It was then that I remembered he should bring a shovel, so he could dig away at the dirt I placed over the rock… *facepalm* He then suggested as he sailed back, to move the deed borders over the mine entrance (which I plan to do anyway). He also put on a 30QL mine door, and told me to bash it when I get home (and then make my own to replace it). Slowly made our way back home. Told B2 I was going to drop him off near the dragon, and for him to make sure she wasn’t deeded. The drop off was successful, and again there’s still no deed. So as long as no one fucks me over in the next 24 hours, I feel this plan will work. With B2 fully healed, and all of my crap unloaded from the boat, he logged out and I went to check on this mine that Renny found. It was where I told him the Rock was, that stopped me from extending the path further. I was able to slip into the mine door and saw the interior. Very nice. I also saw the room he said, and yes, it would be PERFECT to secure her! All we need to do is some prep work before releasing the beast, and having B2 lure her in (and sacrifice himself just long enough for me to slap the gate on). Though I think I fucked up by bashing the mine door too early. How are we going to get her in, with my mine door in the way? Nice way to shoot yourself in the foot, yes? \ud83d\ude1b What I would -really- love to do, instead of keeping her in a mine, to keep her in my animal pen. Just imp those walls like crazy. Watching her run around up there, would be so awesome. It would feel like a mini Erik the Red. I bet it’s something Angry might love to see if he was still playing. \nAnyway, he made it to my deed. I remotely directed him up the side ramp, but he went too far up. Got him back and he got to work. Then he told me something.. disturbing. The rock, was already opened. I had to assume it was possibly the former owners of my deed. Then he told me that there’s a large room surrounded with reinforced walls, but had four routes going down. He suggested I get these filled up (and Reinforced), and that should prevent people from being able to mine in and get to her.
\nSo either I buy some shaker orbs, or find a priest that can ‘Stonewall’ them (then Reinforce them myself with my non-Priesty Carpenter skills). Thankfully I have the much<\/em> cheaper option (for being in an Alliance).<\/p>\n
\nAnd the time to get home was fast approaching. I finally reached that “I’m going home” feeling, feeling very disappointed over the lack of activities at this year’s Impalong.
\nOverall, this Impalong felt like a greatly watered-down version of last year’s Impalong. There was no real community feeling. It felt.. cold, and unfriendly. It makes me feel this might be the last Impalong I attend. But, we’ll see what happens next year. But if it’s this place again, then.. fuck it. I rather grind my Blacksmithing up than deal with this laggy shithole again.
\nGrabbed everything I could. Even that was hard, as there was hardly any helpers that could extract items from the Overflow coffin chests (as I stated earlier). But I got everything I could remember, got B2 on and we sailed away. I also said my goodbyes, saying “it’s been fun”(lie).
\nThe wind was again being a total douche to me, by not existing. But I sailed to Deliverance (one of the smaller servers). After getting my bearings (and also having to wait a minute for the server to catch up to us), we made it back to the Northwest side of Indy in notime flat. Love using a small server as a dimensional slingshot.<\/p>\n
\nHowever, this plan nearly feel to pieces with B2 saying… she was GONE. I’m all “WHAT?! HOW CAN SHE BE GONE?!?!” B2 ran in there to see if she would attack him, but he never saw her. What did was a venerable cave bug.
\nQuickly ran to my deed, got one of my horses and ran back to the mine while riding it. Ran into the mine. Saw her flapping her wings, “happy” to see me. Barely managed to turn my horse around in time to get the fuck out of there before she could attack. Thank goodness she’s still there! \ud83d\ude00
\nB2 also checked on the walls, and there’s been some decay. Either it’s decay, or her trying to bash herself out of the mine. All but the top wall, I believe is decay (0.12\/0.13), but the top wall is 0.26, which could be her bashing it while trying to get to us.
\nB2 also had a pretty bad wound I had to attend to. Got that done, with one of the two healing covers I “borrowed” from the Impalong when no one was looking. \ud83d\ude09 Heheheh..<\/p>\n
\nFirst off, I got to make things. Two more iron gates, and lots of low stone walls. Though I can’t make anything when posting this. I will get right on it as soon as I have my breakfast. I’m also hoping I can salvage the old gate lock before I’m forced to bash it down in order to get her out of the old mine. If I can’t, it’s not the end of the world. I’ll just have to throw the key in the ocean, and make two new locks.<\/p>\n
\nOh well. I got some stone cutting skill out of it, which is always good. So it didn’t go to waste at least. And rock shards is<\/em> a virtually infinite source of resources. Plus I have a stockpile of them in crates (in my Cart Storage), thanks to Renny being a true tunnel rat.<\/p>\n
\nI still remember him going up to see Erik using an alt (while I’m at home), it was Christmastime, and I’m playing a “joke’s on you, I like this piece of charcoal!” thing and make a snowman with it. He starts yelling in PMs that he died by falling off of a cliff. I think he even ran into mobs and was yelling about that, and I had the nerve to say “looks like Rolf put you on his shitlist”.
\nGood times, good times. Yet the more I think about it, I more I think that’s a really bad idea (as she could be shot by arrows). So maybe sticking her in a mine is the better idea. It’s more secure. Only I, B2, and a trusted few would have access. Might also give access to Tulsi.
