So I was going to do my list of the worst games I played in 2015. But overall, this year wasn’t that bad. Some say it was one of the best years for gaming. The only exceptions were Dragon Fin Soup<\/em>(bad port) and Ether One<\/em>(wasn’t properly playtested).<\/p>\n

Anyway, this news from Steam is much more important as it will affect my future trust with Steam; a detailed report of what happened to them on Christmas Day. You can read it in full report here<\/a>, and then see my reactions below.<\/p>\n

\nSo my reaction. I’m glad to hear that it was never a hack. Yet the whole “users could see eachother’s account page” thing, really didn’t feel like ‘hacking’ to me. A hacker would steal that info and sell it to the black market… not<\/strong><\/em> allow other users to see eachother’s Steam accounts.
\nWhat use would a hacker have for this, hmm? It doesn’t make much sense, does it? Exactly! That’s why it wasn’t<\/span> a hacking attempt.
\nSo no, Steam isn’t lying to cover the hacker’s trail.<\/p>\n

Hopefully this issue will never happen again. Steam wants you to believe in them again. Having my account page and the community page now working… I’m just relieved that none of this crap happened to me.
\nSteam even states that if you didn’t visit any sites during that timefrane, your info would be safe.<\/p>\n

And so, we can all just close the book about this whole “hacking” thing. It never happened(well, the DDoS still happened, but the hacking never did), and Steam is back to normal. So, get your games before 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
