A day ago I said ESO TU was “my MMO of choice”. The devs actually tried to make me regret that statement yesterday…
\nThere was a patch, and usually I have no issues with getting a patch. This one, I kind of am. It’s telling me how it doesn’t know what version of ESO TU I’m running. I tried to repair, it won’t let me repair. Sometimes it will, yet the error persists.<\/p>\n
Yet for some reason, the game works just fine even with the error. This is so weird. Though I do hope after I get done typing in this blog post, this stroke of luck will continue for me.<\/p>\n

\nAnother thing I wanted to state that’s kind of relevant to the second part of the story. I joined a guild (named “Enlightened Alliance”). They claimed “all player skills are welcome” and seemed really friendly in their recruitment message. So I thought “What the hell” and joined them.<\/p>\n
I also asked them if they knew of this second bug I was having that involved quest hubs. This bug seems to not give me the achievement when I complete all the known quests in the area, and also claims I didn’t even do the quest. They say they don’t have this bug (and also everyone I spoke to in zone chat, didn’t have this issue).<\/p>\n
Due to this, there’s only one thing I could blame; the addons I was using. The thing is, even when I disable all of them.. it doesn’t help. The damage has already been done. The only thing I could do is ask for help via a ticket, and have them reset the quests. Yet this really wasn’t needed, and the “problem” was never a problem.<\/p>\n
A few people said “there has to be a followup quest in the area that’s keeping you from completing the thing”. I did find a mod that shows all incomplete quests. Tried it out, and it actually showed me that they’re right.
\nI completed these quests…and I got the achievements and the “you helped these people!” messages as I was supposed to in the first place. I knew it wasn’t my mods that caused it. They cannot (and aren’t allowed to) change anything about the game. They aren’t like mods in Skyrim, where you can cheat-unlock a locked door (and have an uber bow with powerful arrows that can 1-shot even Alduin).<\/p>\n
So yeah. Gotta be careful what I say is “my game” or “my MMO”, as it can downright make me regret my words.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
