I just got done watching a video from the popular and funny The Angry Joe Show. This video<\/a> isn’t funny at all. It’s about Nintendo screwing him over, throwing a copywrite claim on his ENTIRE video. Not just a specific song, but the entire. video.<\/p>\n

This actually worries me, as a gamer and a reviewer who blogs about games. I do this in my own time, and really whenever I feel like it. Typically, I’m just talking to myself because hardly anyone looks at these blogs, except a few people from the MRT Server (and of course angry).<\/p>\n

But what worries me, is if Nintendo can get away with saying “You’re making a video of our characters! That’s illegal!!” What if it was illegal to do reviews in general? What if they actually found this website, and started sending me emails of what I can and cannot say in my blog posts?
\nThough, I don’t think they’ll be actively looking for review sites that are ‘off the radar’ sort of speak. In other words, I feel “protected” that I can ramble on how much I don’t like a particular game or games, and not feel like I have to censor my content due to a game company not happy with my review (as it goes over mostly the bad parts. As the game may not be good at all.)<\/p>\n

No. This issue is mainly situated against Youtubers. Famous Youtubers(like Dan, and Angry Joe). Why? YouTube is where most people go for game reviews. Not blog posts. What I do is pretty much the “analog” way of doing reviews.<\/p>\n

Plus, typing in a review is so much easier than needing recording software, a good rendering computer, knowledge on editing footage and sound to make it 1080p(and have 30-60 FPS), and then having the balls to post videos and listen to feedback(trollish or not).
