Hammerwatch is quite an amazing game. It reminds me of most top-down arcade shooters. You pick your class(with the Ranger saying it’s the easiest for beginners) and difficulty, and play on two main areas.<\/p>\n
Gameplay is simple. Run. Kill stuff before it kills you. Get powerups for your weapon and health. You have two lives from the start. You lose them, you fail. It’s like Splunky of having a permadeath. However, you don’t have to start from the beginning. You got save points that’ll allow you to keep playing.
\nAnd unlike Splunky, you can get extra lives to continue to play even longer. But the deeper you trek, the more enemies you’ll encounter; some even mini-bosses.<\/p>\n
So… that’s basically it for this game. It’s just a shoot-em-up taking place in the dark ages. I like it, and you should get it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
