I was moved, but also was as confused as the guy I played as. I feel like I see massive plotholes infront of me. It’s like the mindfuck ending of Bioshock Infinite.

What I read by the game having a dark story and only getting darker, is very true. It really does show the horrors of modern warfare. Horrors, caused by your ill-timed choices, thinking you were being the “good guy”(since you’re American and not a foreigner)…. only to be seen as a murderer. It seriously had me in tears(thinking about it, I still am). It’s human nature to blame others for your actions, when these people forced your hand. Yet you know, you’re the one that made the order and not them.
As much revenge as you want in return to those that caused you to give those…unfortunate orders, you still did the deed. Their blood, is on your hands. And you have to live with that guilt.
You feel it’s not your fault. And… I’m going to say too much which will reveal spoilers. Damnit.

This game serves as a wakeup call to all games with war in them. That not always, are foreigners the problem. Sometimes, it could be (who you think) a rogue American squad. As Dan said in his video: “Bad people do bad things”.
Which ultimately…makes you a bad guy. War is just fucking not worth it anymore.

But enough of the story. Time to talk about other stuff. What I liked and disliked about the game;

Good:
1. Graphics.
2. The gripping story.
3. Faced with grim choices you must think of. There is no “right” or “wrong” choice.
4. You can pause cutscenes by hitting the Esc key. Very few games do this.

Bad:
1. You can only carry two weapons.
2. Why is the Spacebar bound to healing teammates and hiding behind cover?… Why?
3. Why can you not jump in this game except at scripted “DROP DOWN” sections?
4. Enemies hit way too hard even on the easiest difficulty. Yet I forget, they’re using high powered ammo.
5. Teammates getting cocky after ordering them to take out a distant target, causes both of them to run into enemy fire and bleed out, forcing you to run into enemy fire and die trying to heal them… with your spacebar.
6. Can’t order more than one enemy to be taken down?
7. Half the time when a scripted stealth section happens, I see this: “Hold it! Let’s go stealthy. Use silencers.” *equips silencer then orders teammates to take out targets with stealth* Teammate: KICK THEIR ASSES!!! *doesn’t use silencer and attacks, alerting everyone” *Benie facepalms*
8. You can heal your teammates, yet they can’t heal you.

So… most of my complaints are about my retarded teammates and the way the game has the keys bound. Still, if you ignore these quirks, the game still has a lot of good in it. I can’t recommend this game enough.

.
.
.

Now to talk spoilers. Sorry, but I have to. These nagging plotholes won’t leave me alone. As always, if you haven’t played yet, buy the game and do so before reading this.

Plothole #1: If Dubai was better off without you, then why did you come?
Possible Answer: You’re reliving hell that you as Walker created. You and your teammates died in the first helicopter crash, yet you don’t know you’re dead. Everytime you see a fade to black screen, it means events that actually happened. But when you see a fade to white, it means events of you as Walker are creating in your head.
Remember when you said “wait, we’re doing this again!” when getting in the helicopter? This is purgatory.

Plothole #2: What was the 33rd doing there? And why did they have a seamlessly infinite number of units compared to you three?
Plothole #3: Who was leading the 33rd if Konrad is dead?
Plothole #4: Why was there sounds of fighting in the background after engaging the 33rd, yet seeing no one moving? Is this what our marines over fighting the war IRL deal with?
Plothole #5: If all the water in Dubai was in those trucks, then why did Konrad have a huge aquarium in his tower at the end of the game?

So, I completed the game a day ago.
