\nEversince the March GSM and Frumple’s talk of possibly resetting the ranks, feathers have been ruffled of the members, some even thinking of boycotting the new world.<\/p>\n
My opinion of this? It’s obvious Frumple isn’t listening to the community anymore, because no one in their right mind wants to lose their hard-earned rank. Though in ways, I actually want to lose mine. I didn’t work for it; it was given to me. I just don’t feel I deserve it after what I’ve done as a Mod. But I also<\/em> like the perks of being a Trusted. Will this possibly lead to the death of the MRT Community? You’d be a moron to say “yes”, no offense. People loyal to Frumple and the MRT Server (includes Guests) will follow him onto the new world. But people who used to be loyal, that really don’t care for the man anymore (like me) might leave, especially if they lose their ranks.<\/p>\n The reason why ranks might be reset, is because Frumple mentioned that he wants to “start fresh” with this new world, yet he won’t reset Mod ranks. He says he’s happy with the current staff team, which is also questionable. Since 1\/4 the mods aren’t doing their jobs, such as Boss and Miner_Tod (who are hardly on). Or trolling members and getting away with it.<\/p>\n . Lastly, Frumple has said that the server won’t last forever, and he’s right. One day, it will. I personally wish that day was soon. That way I can “undo my mistake” of coming onto the server in the first place. As long as he provides a final map download, I’ll be happy. \nAlso, I prefer people to not start saying “OMG what happened?!” “y u member now?” “you used to be trusted”, and other annoying “why” questions.<\/p>\n
\nOn top of that, 1.8 is coming, threatening to break the MRT and all transit by having carts go even faster when boosted, and have the ability to derail when going high speed. I for one, welcome this change. For that’s when I can laugh in transit owners faces by saying “roads don’t use Redstone!! :D”
\nThough this is only one of the snapshots, and I’m sure a lot of people will not like this change.<\/p>\n
\nAs for the others, I’m sure they will be looking for a new server (like the MTA), others will be pleading to Frumple not to shut down, and I’ll just be flying around looking at my past. And at the very end, I’ll probably load the download up into MCEdit and just look around.
