Before I start this post, I have to say this game is quite hard to think of a proper review. You just have to play it. I will do my best, though.
\nIf this guy wasn’t insane, he would be like Duke Nukem.<\/p>\n
And we start by saying what the game is. It is a hack-and-slash 3rd person shooter, where you play as Deadpool, a superhero that can dual weld swords and guns, and also cannot die.. except in actual combat. It’s one of those games with health regeneration that makes you feel like a total fool if you use a trainer (if you’re not using it just to mess around). I beat this thing legit. Easiest difficulty, but still legit.<\/p>\n
As for the story, it’s quite… messy, but not fragmented like other games I’ve played. If you were ever into the X-Men when you were a child and were also into Marvel comics, they have some of the original superheros from it.. but Deadpool stomping on their chances of being more famous than him.
\nSo, Deadpool’s a superhero with superhuman strength and agility. He’s also insane. He keeps hearing two voices in his head, and breaks the 4th wall by saying “Hey, player!”. He also has an ego the size of a watermelon. All of this, makes him an outrageously funny character.
\nYou can buy upgrades for Deadpool’s current weapons or even new stuff by using points dropped from killing enemies.<\/p>\n
Now, let’s get to the actual story here.
\nHe receives a script after the player.. touching his junk (not the kind of junk you’re thinking. His stuff. His belongings). The script, he rewrites it. Instead of working with the X-Men, he decides to be his own hero.. knowing the player has his back to make him look even more awesome.
\nAfter the pre-start of the game, Deadpool tells you to hit the keys that pop on your screen to move him and preform combo moves. These moves keep him alive, of course.. and make him look awesome. It’s all about looking awesome while mercilessly slaughtering thousands of enemies.<\/p>\n
He also sings. There is a cutscene where he sings in an elevator. Yeah, he’s beyond insane.<\/p>\n
And I can’t explain the story without releasing spoilers for people that haven’t played.. well.. Deadpool’s game yet. So.. that’s all I can do. Just play this game if you’re into Marvel superheroes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
