Something has really bugged me about Yu’lon, since starting to do rep for The August Celestials. Why does it seem that she hides in her temple when the scary Sha show up, yet none of the other celestials hide?<\/p>\n
Xuen, the White Tiger, the Celestial of Strength and Honorable Combat (aka, the Horde’s celestial) of the North temple, is the only one that has no problem with bad guys attacking. The point is, you can speak to him once during leveling, and again during the dailies if he calls for you.<\/p>\n
Chi-Ji, the Red Crane, the Celestial of Hope and Pride of the South temple. You can talk to him twice as well. Again, once during leveling, but also during a Scenario involving his temple. You can still see him and he doesn’t hide.<\/p>\n
Niuzao, the Black Ox, the Celestial of Fortitude and Protection (the Tank celestial) of the West temple. He doesn’t really say anything, but you see him and can “talk” to him multiple times by clicking on him, if he’s not busy being a battering ram against the Mantid.<\/p>\n
And finally, there’s Yu’lon, the Jade Serpent, the Celestial of Wisdom and Intelligence of the east temple. During leveling, she speaks to you twice (before and after the Jade Serpent statue falls), and before the Vale opens, she shows up. But those are the ONLY times you ever see her (besides doing the dungeon). You never get to directly talk to her, except in her Pandarian Cub form (Fei) which is during leveling.
\nThis is why I think she’s a coward. For once, I want to see what she says by just right clicking her. She has her guards to protect her scaly behind and temple from the Sha. Perhaps she’s still pissed off at you for what happened to the statue. Yet why did she offer to help open the Vale?
\nAnother possible reason, is because the temple is locked inside a dungeon. And this is true. The North, West, and South temples aren’t dungeons. The only others I know of, is the Scenario for the South temple, and the Heroic dungeon for the West temple.
\nYou can fly into the Jade Serpent temple, but there will be no one there. In other words, it’s phased.
\nBut for Yu’lon to not show when her temple is attacked by the Sha (again, phased), makes her a coward.<\/p>\n
