First off, it looks like the need to buy gold has died. My Horde char is making more money now. Due to the fact of not buying gear at the AH anymore. Only relying on drops from soloing, and instances.<\/p>\n
With that out of the way, it’s time to look forward. Attack bigger game. Follow the path of Benie, as Horde. My Tauren Shaman would be proud of the work I’ve put into my Hunter.<\/p>\n
Anyway, he’s a 57 now. Closing in on Level 58, and starting to run out of places he can quest. This is not good if I want to get to Level 60 before going to Outland.<\/p>\n
The “tank” that did ST with us awhile ago has been talking to me, trying to get me to go to Outland at 58, saying I’ll get double the XP, and get to replace all my gear.
\nHe doesn’t know that I will tend to only do soloable quests and nothing else to “replace all my gear”, which I find unlikely unless I do a shitload of runs in Outland’s instances.<\/p>\n
The reason I wanna go at Level 60, is because Benie went as Level 60. But that was before TBC was released. Now that TBC and WotLK are released, I may have no choice but to start leveling at Outland on the next level.
\nIt depends if I run out of quests. I still have Silithus, Winterspring, and both the Western and Eastern Plaquelands to quest at.<\/p>\n
Passing that, there’s something on my mind I wanna discuss. Not bad or anything like that. But as I was heading towards the entrance that connects Un’Goro Crater to Tanaris, I saw this Troll on a raptor mount. I remembered this troll when I was leveling Benie back then. He was hostile. Now I’m on the Horde side, I’m able to talk to him.
\nDue to the fact Blizzard fixed it where the faction can have all mounts due to the achievement system implimented, I was able to start doing these quests to get my own Venomhide Devilsaur mount.<\/p>\n
I had to start by showing I can handle the venom they spit, shit, and sweat by allowing myself be attacked and spitted on 20 times. It was insane, but the things I’ll do for a free mount.
\n2nd, I had to steal four Venomhide Devilsaur eggs, where one of them will be my “mount”. But.. well, this is the thing.<\/p>\n
It starts as a hatchling. You got to take it places it needs to go to grow and break off a baby tooth. Each tooth that comes out, is a daily quest that’s completed. So that means 20 RL days until it’s ready to be your mount. And 20 daily quests.
\nIf that’s not bad enough, the quest giver wants me to find 20 Rugged Leather and Runecloth, and also pay 80g. Free mount indeed…<\/p>\n
So far I got 3\/20 teeth. And so far these quests seem doable. A day after I posted this I talked to an 80 who has this mount, and told me that I’ll have no problem getting it. No group quests. No instance runs. Just getting food for the little guy.
